Bracelet Size Guide

Bracelet Size Guide

Every leather cord bracelet is cut to size. Sizes run from 5 to 10½ inches, in quarter inch steps.

What you'll need: A soft measuring tape. If you don’t have a measuring tape, use a piece of string and a ruler.

Step 1: Measure your wrist

Using a measuring tape: Wrap the tape around your wrist, just below the wrist bone. This is where a bracelet naturally rests.

Keep the tape close against your skin. Don’t make it too tight or too loose.

Write down the measurement number. Measure your wrist a second time to double check.

Using string and ruler: Wrap it around your wrist and mark where it overlaps. Then lay the string flat and measure the length with a ruler.

Step 2: Add ¾ to 1 inch

Add ¾ inch to 1 inch to your wrist measurement.

Your leather cord bracelet closes with an S-hook clasp. To fasten it, you need to pull the loop over the hook. That requires a little give, which is why this extra length is added. Add too little and the loop won't reach the hook. Add too much and the bracelet may be too loose and swing around.

After adding  ¾ inch to 1 inch to your wrist measurement, choose the closest size on our sizing chart. Bracelet sizes are offered in ¼ inch increments.

Example: A 6½ inch wrist plus ¾ to 1 inch is 7¼ to 7½ inches. Choose size 7¼ or 7½.

Which end of the range? Closer to ¾ inch keeps the bracelet closer around your wrist. Closer to 1 inch leaves more room to move.

Step 3: Check the fit

Before you order. Cut a piece of string to the size you chose. Wrap it around your wrist and hold the ends together. It should rest against your wrist with a little room.
