Dreamer Mask: Illumination
This is the first piece in my series of Dreamer/Nightmare masks. Design is derived from my fluidly chaotic black and white ink illustrations. The mask portrays the unpredictability of the creative and entrepreneurial Dreamer’s wonderlands.
Dreamer Mask: Breakthrough
As a creator, maker, entrepreneur, finding your next big (or small) breakthrough is always on your mind. The "Dreamer Mask: Breakthrough" symbolizes the unpredictable nature of breakthroughs and how they can wash over you at the most unexpected moments in your life (usually when you're not even actively seeking them out ;).
Dreamer Mask: Emergence
Dedicated to the makers, creators, entrepreneurs, and dreamers of the world. The Dreamer Mask: Emergence symbolizes the struggle that our ideas and dreams constantly face when trying to emerge. But if we truly believe in what we have to bring to the world, we'll do whatever it takes to help them take flight. And when this does happen, the experience is truly beautiful.
Dreamer Mask: Revolutionary
The design was inspired by the idea of the never ending weaving/churning of ideas and creation and the belief in the dual energy of destruction and creation in the name of illumination. The sun wheel in the center symbolizes a hub or center eye that manifests the fiery, endless creative cycle.
Dreamer Mask: Empower
Standing up for something you believe in, voicing the unpopular opinion, going against the norm, creating something meaningful to you and putting it out into the world…all of that takes courage. Oftentimes, it feels like courage we just don’t have…yet.
Dreamer Mask: Transformation
It’s easy to focus on the pain and frustration when you’re battling through the rough times. It feels like your confidence and your dreams are constantly being stabbed or cut down left and right. And you can’t help but wonder sometimes, “will any of your effort be worth it?”
Dreamer Mask: Flourish
We all want to flourish in life. But for the self-professed makers, entrepreneurs, and dreamers among us, flourishing isn't really all about having a good job, making money, and vacations. Flourishing means fighting through the struggle and seeing our creations grow and blossom. It means making and giving life to something that could possibly live on long after we're gone.
Dreamer Mask: Convergence
Ideas and inspiration are rarely constant and are more like waves always coming and going. Sometimes they flood your mind, but other times they seem to recede and completely disappear.
Dreamer Mask: Beacon
When you are just starting to pursue your dreams as a creator or entrepreneur, you begin by seeking out your mentors and beacons of inspiration. But over time as you encounter your own battles and fight for your dreams, you may become a beacon for others.
